Clinical Supervision for Dietitians

About

Clinical Supervision is an opportunity to learn and grow in skills and confidence as a dietitian.

Working with clients who have eating disorders can be both rewarding and challenging. Unfortunately, most dietitians receive limited training in how to effectively counsel and support this population. That’s why supervision with an experienced eating disorder dietitian is not just beneficial — it's essential.

Supervision offers critical guidance in navigating the complex, nuanced needs of this field. While many professional certifications require supervision, the true value lies in building your confidence and competence as a clinician. Partnering with a supervisor who has received extensive training and brings years of clinical experience ensures you're not navigating this path alone.

Supervision is provided by Flavia H Liebel, MA RD LDN

Flavia has been a dietitian since 2000, dedicating her entire career to working with eating disorders. She is passionate about helping fellow professionals deepen their understanding of these conditions and develop the skills needed to support clients on their healing journey. Flavia can guide you through the challenges of outpatient nutrition counseling for anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, or ARFID. In addition to her clinical experience, she has taught graduate-level dietetic students at the University of Illinois using a curriculum she developed specifically for dietetics students on treating and counseling individuals with eating disorders.
